Darby started Kindergarten today and she was SUPER excited! I was a little worried because the other night I was telling her a story about her starting school and making new friends and she started sobbing, "I'm going to miss my friends!" over and over. That happened every night until open house on Sunday. . .then she wanted to start school asap. We are doing montessori school which is super exciting! They have elementary through 5th grade and I'm pretty jazzed about the whole thing. Anyways, we'll see how her day went, she is 4 full days a week which is a lot for a 5 year old I think, I bet she will be tired by Thursday night!
Trevor will be starting the same Joy School that Darby did in 2 weeks and I think he's pretty excited about it all, well as excited as any 3 year old probably is to start preschool :) We have 6 kids in his class and 5 of them are boys!!! It is going to be CRAZY! but a lot of fun too, I'm looking forward to my first week of teaching in a few weeks.
We had a great trip to Michigan to see Erich's family! The plane ride was good there and a challenge on the way back but it never is any fun ending a vacation :) We had lots of fun in the water, lots of tasty beer, and lots of fun just hanging out with grandma, grandpa and aunt leah. This weekend we are off to Pullman for a little over a week for my friends Karee's wedding! We will catch the Coug home opener on Saturday and then spend the week with my parents. Then we come back and get right back on a plane to head to Michigan again for Leah's wedding on the 20th! Crazy traveling, but it will be fun and exhausting and we will be happy to be back to some normalcy in October :)
If all that wasn't enough, Brendan is crawling now for reals and trying to pull himself to stand, he can get up in his crib which is frightening to me!!! We've really got to keep an eye on him and I'm not ready to be chasing him quite yet. But he doesn't seem to consult me on his happenings or his moods either so I guess I'll just try to embrace his going, moody personality :) He just turned 6 months and is still as big as ever, 90th percentile weight at 20 pounds. I'm just a milk dispensing machine some days (and nights).
We are also in the midst of a big house project, new windows all over the house which is super nice! but lots of work for us too, that we have to put off for a little while because of all the traveling. Anyways, it'll get done eventually, or not, but we will still do what we do and try to stay happy and healthy. Here's some pictures and videos of the last month.
