Once a month

So once a month blogging now, perfect . . .now we should really miss all the important stuff. So it has been a whirlwind of a month and now that we are quickly heading into October I finally have a chance to blog about it all. Darby is officially a kindergartner and I find it weird that when my friends and I get together now we're talking about recess and fall festivals and the scholastic book leaflets!!! OMG Darby is really in Kindergarten!!! She is loving it and I'm feeling good about it too. . .although it's kind of a cop out because it's much easier to transition to Montessori K. There are a max of 24 kids with 3 teachers in her classroom and no older elementary kids compared to an elementary school where there are 5 K's with 20 kids each and then another 500 older kids running around the playground. It is very nice!

After a week of school we headed off to Pullman for a little time with my folks, a WSU football game, and the wedding of a dear friend Karee. We had a great time in Pullman as always and it was so great to see old friends and be a part of Karee's beautiful day! Thankfully we escaped the Palouse with not a swine flu among us :) There were a reported 2500 confirmed cases at the university!! Yikes! But no swine flu could keep us down! Thank god because after we got back to Bozeman we had to quickly turn around and head out to Michigan for Erich's sister Leah's wedding.

We just got back from that wonderful wedding weekend on Torch and are having fun settling into a normal routine again. I still haven't unpacked, two days later, and there's still so much to do around the house but I am relishing in the fact that I don't HAVE to go anywhere :)

Trevor started school the week after we got back from Pullman and had such a great time! The Joy school curriculum is so fun and I'm so glad that we found a class for him. Today they got to make gingerbread men molding the right anatomy and Trevor's was obviously a male gingerbread :) We're having a potluck on Saturday to introduce all the new families and I'm really looking forward to it!

Brendan is a moving boy these days and pulling himself up wherever he can. Although he plays great by himself usually, he is a social boy and needs people around him or he gets really sad . . .he likes to grab my leg a lot and make the "mmm" sound while I'm doing things around the house. They grow up too damn fast I tell ya! Well, here are some pictures from our busy month and hopefully I will settle back into a routine and blogging will be a part of that (I promise for the umpteenth time). . .

september fun
