Merry Christmas

What a great year this has been! And as always, I can't believe that Christmas is over . . .no matter what I always get a little sad when the last present is opened. I LOVE Christmas and mostly it's watching people open their gifts and enjoy them. This year was no exception. Rich and Anna made it here on Monday night and we all got to enjoy a couple of relaxing days before Christmas. The kids are having a great time with them! The nicest thing about Christmas this year is that we've made it a lot simpler by getting fewer gifts . . .I think Darby might have noticed this year :) She was searching around the tree saying "where are more of my presents?" :) The kids got an awesome Toboggan sled from Anna and Rich, ice skates from gram and grap Rose, books, games, long underwear (boring), and then Trev got a train set with a dad/gramp made train table, and Darby got a sweet bike. Santa was great to them as well and left them both the present that they asked for; Darby some Adidas Samba shoes and Trevor a rocket.

Today it's no more relaxing, that is for the non-pregnant people in the house :) And hopefully some sledding or ice skating. We got over 6 inches last night and it's beautiful powdery snow. Should be fun, that is if I could fit into any of my ski/sledding clothes and actually get on the sled and zoom down the hill. . . .do I sound bitter? I'm really not but it is a lot harder this year to enjoy the outdoors, mostly because all my jackets, ski pants, long underwear do not fit over my large belly. Luckily, Erich's stuff still fits but somehow it's just not the same.

We are always so blessed and very grateful for everything on Christmas especially our family and friends, near and far. Just wanted to say thank you to you all for everything and hope everyone has a Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas
