Cougar Jersey Madness

Sigh . . .my kids are both clothes Nazis! Now, we've always had trouble . . .not trouble per se . . .but Darby has always had a very firm idea of what she likes an dislikes about clothes, sometimes making things difficult when it matters what she wears, say in 0 degree weather or to a Christmas party. Speaking of, after I told Darby she had to wear something red or green to the Christmas party guess what she tried to get away with? Her Cougar jersey! I blame Erich because he didn't head that one off. Needless to say, even though she argued that it was indeed a somewhat red colored shirt, she did not get away with that one :)

So I thought it was just a girl thing but it turns out Trevor has similar tendencies! He loves his Cougar jersey! He got to wear it and the Coug pants my mom made for them to bed the other night and has since grown quite attached. I tried to put him in footy pjs last night and he was screaming and screaming and pointing to the hamper, which held his jersey and pants, and saying "eer-see" over and over. I finally got it and when I pulled out the dirty clothes he was ecstatic . . .must be nice when someone finally gets what he's saying. Well, then this morning when I took it off to put on the clothes for the day he started screaming again, he was trying to grab it back down over his head while I was taking it off. Sigh. . . .again . . .he didn't wear it today but as soon as we got home he started pointing at it and saying jersey again! My two little fashion divas. . .where they got their fashion sense, I'll never know.

We've had such a great week so far! Yesterday was crazy busy with a birthday party, Kindermusik, and lunch out. Today we had preschool and the kids went to a retirement community to sing their Christmas program. It was about the cutest thing ever! The elderly women loved to see the kids and they all sang great and didn't freeze up at all! That is where Trevor got his shiner, he fell down and hit a couch, poor guy :( But he was all good. I still have lots of Christmas stuff to do this week as I'm trying to get my packages out by Saturday but it is so fun! Erich just got back from a double header basketball game 2-0! They're much better this year :) Well, I'll leave you with a couple of pics from the last week or so.
