Using Santa

Tis the season for one more useful bribery tool that I am using to the full extent. . . Santa! Luckily, Darby LOVES Santa and the movie and book Santa Claus is Coming to Town so she knows that Santa is watching and he knows when she's been good or bad. Well, we've been using it successfully over the last 6 days to get Darby to sleep the entire night without waking me or Erich. She likes to have Erich come in and sleep with her so all she has to do is cry out and he stumbles in there and falls asleep in her bed . . .no wonder it's a habit huh? Anyways, I told Darby that Santa called because he was afraid she wasn't getting enough sleep, waking up and crying in the middle of the night. So we started a Santa chart and it's worked beautifully. Who knows what we'll do once Santa comes :) Use the Easter Bunny?

We've had a busy last couple of weeks and I don't seem to be getting much sleep, too much to think about getting done. I am pretty much officially ready for Christmas! All the packages are sent out and all I have to do is make the yummy Christmas treats and eat them! We had Erich's holiday party on Friday night while some friends watched the kids and had a good time. It's always nice to get dressed up and go out. We had a pretty mellow weekend and I got to go see the new movie Enchanted. I loved it, it was just a cute movie and Patrick Dempsey is so adorable! Darby had her last Kindermusik on Monday but I think we'll do it again next semester, she just loves it! We're going to see the My Little Pony show tomorrow morning and then Rich and Anna will be here. I can't believe Christmas is less than a week away! Oh how time flies!
