So tomorrow starts Darby's big birthday week! We are having a birthday party with her friend Connor who turned 3 last Wednesday. It should be a lot of fun. Erich's sister Leah is coming for about a week so she'll be here to help celebrate! When I asked Darby what she wanted for her birthday dinner she said "cake" and so I told her she would have cake too but asked her what her favorite dinner was and she said "dessert." :) That sums our whole family up, we are a bunch of sweet freaks, chocolate, sugar, anything sweet.
Anyways we had a pretty relaxing weekend and spent most of it outside, playing in the pool, on the swingset. We got out for a hike today which started out pretty good but degraded into Darby's blood curddling scream echoeing through the forest. She was a little tired and I had to carry her the rest of the way down . . .so Darby was ready for bed tonight and excited about her upcoming festivities . . .hope it doesn't all go to her head :)
