It pours . . .it seems like the kids have a extra special sense of when I'm starting to have a rough day and they exploit it to suit their needs. Today has been extra tough for me for some reason, I'm having a two year old day again where I just want to throw down my toys (cell phone, car keys, whatever's handy) and scream and cry at the top of my lungs. It's nothing really bad going on just usual stuff with a couple of added cherries on top. This morning I found an oh so cute bunny, not so adorably ripped in half and disemboweled in front of our TV. That's thanks to our fabulous cats who love bringing in "presents" for us when the weather is nice but can't seem to kill the mice and bugs that make their way into the house (see back to a post in August of 2006). Anyways, that wasn't so fun to clean up and I almost made myself pass out from spraying so much Lysol disinfectant spray. Then Erich comes home before flying off to California for 3 days and spills a bunch a olives all over the refrigerator, sauce and all. And conveniently he had to jet off to the airport. I had been meaning to clean the frig soon but needless to say it topped my priorities at that point, overriding taking a shower and eating lunch :(
Darby had her last gymnastics class of the year and they had their "show" today. It was so cute! They follow a great little obstacle course in front of the parents and then get to stand on an award stand and get a medal and certificate. Unfortunately I did not get any good pictures or video because one of my kids, guess who, was a little pisser during the entire thing! Poor Darby, I was so distracted. The only thing that would keep him happy was chewing on my cell phone which of course doesn't work now because I don't have the special slobber proof kind. Ugh!
So now the kids are peacefully sleeping and I'm trying to get my fix of computer, TV, and books in before I have to go to bed to start all over tomorrow. We did have Trevor's one year pictures today and it was a tough one . . . he was not interested in sitting still, at, all. But there are some cute ones. Check 'em out
