Star Wars???

So, I know 6 is pretty young to be into Star Wars but Darby is . . .even though she doesn't ever watch the cartoon and had never (until her birthday) seen any of the movies . . . I blame the other kids at school who must talk incessantly about it because she really likes Star Wars stuff. So when I asked her what type of party she wanted, you can of course guess what it was, Star Wars. Luckily though there is a ton of cool ideas our there so there was no shortage. This is what I whittled it down to . . .Jedi costumes out of brown felt, light sabers out of pool noodles and electric tape, gift bags with crayons and coloring/activity books (that I printed off for free), yoda soda, and cupcakes made to look like light sabers locked in battle. We woke up to snow (oh shit were the first words out of my mouth) on the ground but luckily it was pretty nice out for the party so the house stayed intact. I think it turned out pretty cool and I think having 13 kids at our house was definitely crazy but still a lot of fun :) Darby had fun which is all that really matters. Although I'm sure her effusive gushing of thanks will come when she is older . . .right? Here are some pictures from her party.
