that I talked about. . . that I couldn't wait til we were done with all the crying and screaming? Well if today was any evidence, we are a looooooooonnnnnnnggggg way from that! It has been a tough transition back into the swing of things, for everyone, including myself so that means, one cranky, cranky family. It was an especially long day today and it ended with us driving home from a friend's house with everyone in the car crying, including me, and the CD up as loud as it could go so I couldn't hear all the crying and screaming coming from the back of the car . . .I have to hand it to the kids though, they can scream and cry pretty loud because I could still hear them over the booming music, especially Brendan. Gosh, it's sure heart wrenching to hear them cry so hard when you can't do anything about it.
The reason we had a long day was that Darby had her first guitar lesson today after school and I am attending them with her so I can help reinforce all the ideas at home. That meant that I had to leave the boys with a friend and poor B had not slept all day and was exhausted and just ready to be home. But the guitar lessons went well, Darby was a little tired towards the end and having a hard time focusing . . .it was pretty stinking cute to see her holding and plucking a guitar!
Anyways, here's to a better day tomorrow, one day closer to when I can communicate with my kids like adults :)
