We are alive

just very very busy! I of course have so much to say that I will either blather on and on or just say the nitty gritty stuff. I think I went through the whole month of November without posting! Crazy! So I guess it's just the same ole same ole around here. We had Rich and Anna here for part of November which was great and lots of fun. They stayed for Erich's birthday, the big 33! Crazy! They were also here for the great big huge dump of snow!! It was raining one night and the next morning we woke up to at least 2 feet of snow and it dumped all day! It didn't all melt off and now we are left with probably about 6 inches in the yard and frigid, frigid temperatures, brrrr.

For Thanksgiving my brother, my sister and her boyfriend came out here to Bozeman. It was super great to have them here and we cooked up a great big spread. I love Thanksgiving. . . I don't know why we don't cook things like stuffing and cranberry sauce year round because I love it! I can see why we don't cook turkeys though. . . so much work and clean up. Erich did an amazing job on our turkey this year, a free range one bought from one of Darby's friend's. So super moist and amazing, good job babe!

Now that we're into December we are finding ourselves extremely busy with everything! Almost everyday and every evening we have something going on. We had our first holiday party this evening at a friend's house and had so much fun. The kids (D and T) went to Darby's school for a "winter carnival" thing they had going on. They had a great time too! Tomorrow we will be shooting for getting our Christmas tree and doing the Christmas Stroll. It's a busy day starting with an 8:30 bball game for Darby.

Darby is having so much fun playing basketball and is truly getting the hang of things. It's hilarious to watch them play because they all kind of don't get it. Dribbling is tough and there is a lot of traveling, and they pretty much play defense the entire time. The teams wear colored wrist bands and that's how the kids know who they are guarding and a lot of times you'll just see the kids with their hands up in each other's space not anywhere close to the ball. It's very fun!

Trevor is having a great time with school and his new friends. He is totally potty trained now and it. is. awesome!!!!! He's had accidents very infrequently but when he does have an accident it's not his fault it's "my penis did it" or "my butt just did that." He also likes to try and blame his toys for certain things like pushing Brendan over or hitting him . . . "my dinosaur did it mama."

Brendan has his 2 bottom teeth in now and is getting the top two. What a little personality he is developing, it is great! He loves to laugh and smile and he's great at high fives and pointing at everything and saying "mmm, mmm, mmm." He's got lots of sounds but says "mama" pretty clearly. He just turned 9 months and is not quite walking but won't be far off. He's standing on his own but is mostly just a leg monkey, hanging onto any leg he can get to. He loves Erich, he gets so excited when he gets home from work, it's too cute.

Well, is that enough for now? I think I will have to make it my resolution to journal more in the coming months, at least so Brendan can know what was going on in his life as a baby :) Here's some pictures of November. I will have to see if I can find some good video too. I'll get to work on that, just as soon as all of my Christmas shopping is done :)
