Off to Salt Lake

For those of you that didn't know, we are headed to Salt Lake City tomorrow to have a procedure done for Trevor. He was born with hypospadias and because of potty training and other issues have decided to get it fixed up. Salt Lake houses the experts and we're going to the Children's Hospital there. We are definitely doing all we can to make this the best outcome possible. The problem is general anesthesia :( I am a fretter anyways, but this has got me fretting away. I know he will be fine but please send some good thoughts and prayers his way. I am more afraid of it changing who he is somehow . . . I now that sounds silly. . . but I can't help worrying. It's genetic, right mom? Anyways, we'll keep everyone posted as possible. We meet with the Dr. tomorrow at 3 and then we'll know when his surgery time will be on Tuesday. It's outpatient so that's nice and we should be heading home on Wed. Until then . . . we're off :)

We will keep your family in our thoughts and prayers and be thinking of your little man. Seeing our kiddos go through surgery or being in pain is never easy. Stay strong. Save travels.

We are definitely praying for him AND for you and Erich to be calm and worry-free. I get nervous about general anesthesia as well, but an anesthesiologist once told me that out of any time in your life, that is when you are MOST safe because there are multiple specialists watching every body component.

We're thinking of you. Don't worry too much, our friends little boy had that same condition. The whole surgery went smoothly along with the recovery and he's totally fine now. If it helps, I've been under full anesthesia 6 times and am still here:).........so try not to worry in that department. Hope to see you guys soon!
