Big Happenings

So we have some big happenings going on around here and it just seems I've been too busy to chat about them. Well, first of all, Darby is now officially done with preschool and headed off to Kindergarten *sniff, sniff*. I can't believe how fast time has gone and I just don't even have the words to explain how much I'm going to miss teaching Darby and her friends at preschool. We met the most wonderful people and they are so special to us and not only are the kids going to be moving on but so are the families . . .we will have to just work harder at making sure we don't lose those special connections. My parents came over for the graduation ceremonies and it was so special! Here is a pic.


Darby also started up T-ball which she is loving! For you Coug fans out there, one of her coaches is Jason McEndoo (a cougar football player from the 1998 Rose Bowl era). . .Erich was like a little groupie when we went and introduced ourselves :)

Trevor is turning 3 this week, which makes me really sad . . . I can't believe how fast they are growing up on me! And that means that I am getting OLD! I don't feel any older today than I did on the day I had Darby. Maybe I sound older because I say things like "someday you'll really want to take naps and go to sleep early and sleep in" or Darby saying things like "tell me a story of when you were a kid" and me not remembering ANYTHING!!! Darby turns 5 in 2 weeks and then hopefully we will have a couple of weeks of down time . . .but I don't know that there will ever be down time from now until they all graduate from High School :)

For me and Erich there is really nothing much to report. Erich's ankle is healing nicely and it turns out it doesn't pay to have a PT in the family . . .I haven't had the chance to do any rehab for him . . .oops :) I am trying my darnedest to lose some Brendan weight but it seems to be sticking on me like glue! I am up to running 4 miles and am going to do a 5K with a friend in a couple of weeks, that's all good but why am I not fitting into any of my old jeans?!? I'm determined though . . .just not so determined that I'm willing to give up my chocolate fix everyday :) Also, good news, I think I can eat tomatoes again and just in time for the summer with yummy fresh from the vine tomatoes!

Brendan has turned into such an easy baby lately, he's 3 months today! He's sleeping for me at night and a little happy bug most of the day with smiles for everyone, especially Darby who can elicit the biggest, body smile from him! Body smile is the only way I can think to explain the way he exudes happiness through his body motions and his smile :) He's rolling, but only without clothes, both ways . . .I think the added 2 oz of clothes just weighs him down enough.

Anyways, we'll have lots of fun pics to post with all the birthday fun we'll be having in the next couple of weeks. Darby has her friend birthday party on Wed. so that should be fun. The kids are off with dad today playing at a park in Livingston and then Darby and Erich have a date to see the musical "The Boyfriend." We got to see it Thursday night and it was really cute! I know she'll love it! So here's a slew of pics so enjoy. . .until the next batch :) I'll also post some video once I get it uploaded.
