Getting back to . . .

Normal . . .I guess as normal as it can be with the addition of baby Brendan. We are actually doing pretty good and I'm not the crazy bitch I thought was going to be once my mom left and I had to take care of the kids all by myself and Erich. Well, maybe you should chat with Erich about that :) Not to say that I haven't lost it on the kids a couple of times but they are few and far between.

Erich's surgery went great and they removed a huge (huge by ankle joint standards) hunk of bone from his joint and removed some bone spurs. He should be like new soon enough. It was a rough weekend because he was told to keep it elevated for pretty much 3 days. I think Erich went a little bonkers having to be inside this house on his back for the weekend. It usually sounds good to HAVE to rest for 3 days straight but in actuality it is pretty stifling. The kids cooperated well and we made it through the weekend with all kids and parents intact.

Brendan is such a big kid! He is wearing 6 month clothes (in some brands) and looking more and more like a little boy. He is eating like a little boy too which is probably why he is the fussiest baby yet. . . I just can't keep up with him, he's always eating it seems. The kids are still enjoying their cute little brother. They swarm him anytime he's on the floor or changing a diaper. He has started responding to them which is adorable, smiling and tolerating their handling for longer periods of time. Trevor always calls him "baby Brendan Thomas Hannan" and "my cute baby brother." Hopefully the sweetness will continue.

I'm starting to feel like myself a bit more lately. . . it's weird because I didn't realize that I wasn't myself. But getting back into a routine is good for me and because it looks like Brendan is going to be an early riser (the only one of the family) I can start working out in the mornings, get myself ready for swimsuit season, yuck! We are in the middle of figuring out our summer schedule . . .hard to believe with the snow flying all week long. I think there was a foot on our porch today!!! Darby will start T-ball here by the end of the month I think and she is stoked! We only have about a month left of Kindermusik and 7 weeks of school left which is crazy! This year has flown by already! Anyways, here are some pictures from the last couple of weeks. We had so much fun with my mom here and man was she a great help! We have Grandpa Hannan on his way in a couple of weeks so that will be nice, I could use some man help around here :) Erich has actually been super helpful, especially with the use of his "rollabout"

Glad you are getting back to normal. I am not looking forward to that part of the coming baby! Still amazed at how alike all your kids look, which I guess I shouldn't be considering genentics! Hope to see you early july?!

Erich,

We have been thinking of you and hoping you get back on your "feet" soon. It seems we don't appreciate our body parts enough until we can't use them.

Glad you guys are getting into a routine. What time does B get up in the morning?

I still can't believe the Hannan's are now 5. The time, where does it go?
