A Mother's Blessing

So just a quick update before I get back to my never ending to-do list. Although today I'm not feeling totally awesome, getting a little cold, I have been feeling great lately. Somewhat exhausted of course as anyone in their last month of pregnancy is but really doing pretty good. Yesterday I felt amazing and it was because my amazing friends threw me an amazing mother blessing. I had never been to one before and I have to say it was a great experience. I knew I had great friends but it blew me away :) I got a henna tattoo on my belly, thanks to my friend Jane, who did a great job! It's not darkening that much which I've experienced before so I wonder if my skin chemistry is off . . .anyways, it's still pretty cool! They all brought poems and beads to make me a labor bracelet and made me feel so blessed! Here are a couple of pictures.

This is a work of art! With all sorts of wonderful words and reminders for a relaxing birth

The most amazing women in the world! (I had to keep my belly exposed because of the henna so it looks like I just have a bra on :) )

The labor bracelet that they made.

Other people took pictures that I still have to get like of the tattoo so I will share those later.

Otherwise things have been busy as usual, the kids are not slowing down for me at all in these last few pregnant days. . .don't they know?!? It's actually good, it keeps me from sitting on my butt just waiting for things to happen :) Darby and I went to our last Broadway date of the season, Annie! It was really fun but I still think that Hairspray was my favorite. The kids were amazing in the performance though, where do they come from? Darby's favorite was Ms. Hannigan :) Here is a picture of us at the show.

We also have finished up ski lessons and Darby made such great improvements, I will post a video of her skiing soon (yes Anna we have it but just have to upload, I'm a bit behind, sorry).

The family on our last day, what a gorgeous one!

What a couple of cute cowboy/army kids :)

Anyways, we have our homevisit with the midwife this week so I'm trying to get all the baby stuff ready to go and I'd really like to finish knitting a hat and making some blankets, and organize the kids closets, and weed out their clothes, and on and on. . . .I truly am nesting and going crazy in this house full of STUFF (or crap, however you want to look at it). The nice thing is we just got a new freezer so this week I'm making double dinners and freezing a bunch for post-baby, that will help a lot!!! I'm off now to tackle something productive.
