Dreary, dreary christmas traditions

It has warmed up here over the last couple of days and it's been cloudy and just dreary . . .which is a bummer because yesterday was our day to go and get our Christmas tree. The nice thing about this year was that it wasn't so cold. However when we got up to our normal location for hunting trees we found out that the road was closed :( So we had to hike around quite a bit to find even a tree that was sorta worthy. Erich found a great tree as I couldn't really hike around too much and Darby and Trevor were a little whiny about the trek up the mountain. . .so we got the only one we found and it turned out to be great! Good job Erich! We did have fun coming down the mountain on the sled and with the tree. The kids had fun anyways :)

After we got home, we hung out, put up the tree and then hit the Christmas Stroll in the evening. The kids got to see Santa Claus light up the downtown decorations, have some hot chocolate and stroll with their friends down main street. Much nicer this year as it was quite a bit above freezing, unlike the last couple of years when it's been about 10 degrees. Today we're going to put up the decorations and I'm going to get some Christmas shopping done. Should be fun. Here are some pictures . . .hope everyone is enjoying this holiday season!

Christmas fun

Love the pics, boy do I miss actually cutting down a tree. I think it is so great that your kids can ski....Bozeman's main street looks super festive. Hope your shopping was successful!
