Happy May Day!

Okay, so I'm posting this on April 30th but late at night so it's May Day somewhere. May Day is not much of a holiday but kinda fun . . .I remember me and some friends making a may day pole and leaving baskets on friend's doorsteps. I wish I had the energy to do that kind of stuff this year but alas I don't. I've decided to take a quick break to post a little something to let everyone know what we're up to. This has been another really busy week and I, as I'm sure a lot of people in the Northwest are, am fed up with the stinking weather!!!! I have tried really hard to get me and the kids outside this week when it's been nice because I know it's not going to last. But tomorrow I'm headed off to California and the nice (please god let it be nice) weather, so long Montana suckers! I'm going to see the newest love of my life, Madison Kate Lazark! I can't wait to meet her and it will be nice to get away.

Darby and Trevor are doing great and I'm sure I have lots of fun stories to tell but for the life of me I can't think of any. Trevor is officially in his two-year old mentality . . .defiant, crazy, mischievous, and energetic beyond my energy level on my best day. He's talking great and speaking in short sentences, he is very polite and says his pleases and thank yous and has started calling Darby Darbs :) Darby is enjoying Trevor more and more as a playmate and they pretend play together all the time. She is totally into writing her letters and loves to spell. I have about 100 pages that look just like this.

Thanks to Word World and a book we recently bought Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons she is reading a lot of words and spelling words that are spelled phonetically all the time! Swim lessons are going great and today she was able to float and swim a little on her back all by herself! Anyways, I'm off to continue my preparation for school here tomorrow and my trip to CA. Hope you all have a great weekend. Erich is looking forward to his weekend alone with the kids, they are going to have so much fun! Here are some more pictures to enjoy.
