I feel like I have a list of things to share so we'll see how it goes . . .Darby still loves Blue's Clues, of course, which has a spin-off show called Blue's Room. Anyways, she's been watching "Shape Detectives" and on it there is a missing pentagon. So today at lunch she said, "I got a message from the Pentagon." I couldn't figure out for the life of me where the heck she heard that, thinking of course that she was talking about the Pentagon, maybe a direct message from G.W.? I finally figured it out. . .thank goodness she wasn't talking politics already. Other fun things that she says consistently, "it doesn't matter to me" as when she asks to do something and I say yes, trying to make it sound like she could care less, very nonchalant, even though if I had said no, a tantrum would no doubt ensue :) She is becoming very useful in all sorts of ways. She can let the dog out, feed the dog, get snacks out of the cupboard all by herself. She is also starting to learn how to scratch my back and give foot massages, now those are useful :) Granted her foot massages aren't quite the kind you'd pay for . . .yet ;)
Trevor has been a handful lately, mostly at night, waking up several times and spending the late night hours playing happily without showing any signs of wanting to sleep, too much going on in his little brain right now I think, and a few teeth coming in. He now has 5 broken through the skin and I'm sure number 6 is not far behind. Heaven help us when his molars and canine teeth come in, those suckers are painful :( I got him some big boy shoes today so that he can start walking outside once it's nice. They are so cute but he's walking much better without them at this point. And I swear he said "Darby" today, I am willing to bet that some form of Darby will be his first word, so cute!
That's all on the kids . . .more stories later.
