Boring Blogger

I am sitting at the computer right now thinking about what I can blog about because Darby is watching a Blue's Clues and I just can't sit through it without doing anything else, so here I am blogging. . .what a boring blogger I am. I talk mostly about my kids and their amazing (only to me and immediate family) abilities, I don't even contribute any insightful social commentary. There is a website called BlogThings and there's some pretty fun stuff you can do. . .you know take quizzes to find out how liberal or conservative you are, personality profiles, stuff like that and add it to your blog for "excitement." I did one of the easiest ones . . .

My Superhero Profile
Your Superhero Name is The Power Hawk
Your Superpower is Telepathy
Your Weakness is Confined spaces
Your Weapon is Your Kinetic Amplifier
Your Mode of Transportation is Snowshoes

What's your Superhero Name?

Power Hawk, sounds pretty cool and those superpowers would be pretty neat-o.

So nothing really exciting is going on here, we had family pictures taken today and Trevor's 6 month pics, that was pretty fun and I'm looking forward to seeing the finished product. Darby and Trevor are both doing good and growing up too fast! Darby understands all sorts of things but mainly how to push my buttons! I get sucked in every time . . .she pushes and pushes until I get very angry and frustrated. How come they learn that so early on? Then she has her really cute moments, like trying out new facial expressions, I need to catch them on video. She also now has a Wiggles video that she loves! She sings and dances along with it and even tries the splits like Wags the dog :) Trevor's first teeth are imminent . . .so needless to say he is a little cranky. He's also enjoying the additions of rice cereal and banana to his diet. Doing way better than Darby ever did but still not really sure he's too into it :) Alright enough boring blogging for now. . .

I know what you mean when you say you seem to only talk about your kids. But as a reader that is what I want to read about so keep it up. These years, while they are hard when you are in the trenches as you've chosen, do go by quickly. I'm sure you'll make it through even the most challenging days. When all else fails, call a friend and get out for a stress buster. Before you know it you'll be saying good-bye as Darby heads out the door to kindergarten. : )
