If you're a long time reader of the blog, and chances are good that you are, because you're either my mom or Erich's mom :), than you know that Darby has long been obsessed with notebooks, drawing, and mostly writing . . .she used to just carry around notebooks all the time, like Steve in Blue's Clues. She would even fall asleep with them. Well, it has now morphed into something different, she now is into writing "books." She will write pages and pages of stories! Here is just a sampling of the ones she brought home from school the other day. Sometimes she will just recount a movie in her own words like Megamind or Despicable Me, but she has also been penning some original works. Her most recent one was about a kid who made the news doing his magic :)
The other day when she was getting frustrated with Trevor for bugging her I told her it would be a good thing to channel her frustration through song . . . .I mean it worked for Taylor Swift right? So in addition to books she is also writing some lyrics for songs, her most recent one is called "Never Say Never" :) And amazingly she is not into Justin Bieber at all, just a coincidence I think. No Bieber fever here!
