So last weekend I had to go to Billings for a continuing education course and we took the whole fam-damily for a wild and crazy weekend in the big Montana city :) It was a short 26 hours but I think it was a successful trip. Friday night we hit the Cheese, Chuck E. Cheese. Never been there and the kids and Erich had a great time playing the games! The kids each got the same amount of tokens to do with whatever they wanted and it was interesting to see how they used them. Trevor, put them in every thing he saw and was out far before he was ready to go. Darby on the other hand saved them, and only used them on games and rides that she knew she would enjoy. She ended up sharing them with me, Erich and Trev in the end. It's funny cause this is the same way they treat desserts too. . .Darby savors and Trevor snarfs!
One of the many rides that Trevor took
Bro and Sis at the top of the crazy tube/slide thingy
Brendan just wanted to play with the basketballs. We set him down to walk around and he made a beeline to the basketball hoops, and he didn't look back once to see if we were following him. For him the priorities are obviously, basketball, basketball, oh and then mom and dad.
While I was at my course Erich took the kids to the zoo. His first "outing" with the kids all by himself! I think he did a great job!
Darby insisted on pushing the stroller I guess . . . less work for dad.
The Siberian Tiger at the zoo. . .super cool!
Of course we stayed in a hotel which is always fun for the kids. Erich even took them swimming in the morning. Even my class was interesting. . . got to watch a live ACL reconstruction and chat with the surgeon after which was awesome! Although, now I know why I wasn't interested in med school and why I will avoid all elective surgeries. . .I'm just a wee bit squeamish.
