In other news

Trevor is a walking fiend now! Not even wanting to hold my hand ever to help him through the tough stuff, he just bull dozes right ahead. He can now climb up on the couches all by himself and mostly can get himself down without a big bonk. No major mishaps in the bonking department, thank goodness! Maybe Trevor actually learned his lesson . . .or maybe it's just me :) He's been saying the N sound a lot and it sounds very russian when he gets going, "nyet, nyet, nyet." My dad's fluent in Russian, who knew it was genetic . . .and he's learned "no" very quickly :) In addition to the sounds he also snorts a lot, especially when he gets excited about something, it's pretty funny, I'll have to get some video of that.

Darby has had a big week! She started "preschool" this week and it was held at our house, pretty fun with the kids getting together and interesting to see how the other kids respond to me telling them what to do. I don't know how daycare/preschool centers do it, the ratio in places like that are crazy! I can hardly handle 3 (well 4 including Trevor)! Wednesday she had her first class of drop-off gymnastics! Usually I would go around with her and help her with things. This time she had to listen to the teacher and follow the other kids. It's technically 3-6 year olds, so she was the youngest and smallest one there. I was just thinking the other day that she looked so big, but next to all those older kids she looked so tiny and like such a toddler. I watched her the whole time and she did great! I had a hard time not yelling out to her, but thank goodness I didn't embarrass her :) Even though she's still so small, Darby is doing great on the independence thing, dressing herself, brushing her own teeth, going to the bathroom by herself and even helping out with chores like cleaning the table, putting the dishes away, folding laundry (I only let her fold her own cause otherwise it drives me crazy trying to get her to fold them right) and putting her laundry away! I love it and hope that Trevor is watching carefully to see what he's in for :)

Erich's parents are here this weekend for Easter and a trip to Big Sky, should be fun! Hope everyone has a great holiday and enjoys all the yummy food and candy.
