Headed home

Darby and Trevor really were quite the little champs through our long driving days. Trevor is super musical and loves to listen to, play, sing, and clap along to music. And he does a great dance where he sways side to side, I'll have to post some video soon. Anyways we did a lot of clapping and singing in the car on the way home. Darby was aided by her new American Idol microphone that was in the McDonald's Happy Meal we got . . .isn't that crazy! She was singing in it for like 2 hours straight. She doesn't quite get the tone thing yet, but I'm not going as far to say that she's tone deaf, not yet anyways :)

It seems that now we're home I'm noticing that the kids have grown up a lot over the last week. Darby is singing all her songs by memory, coming up with crazy stories, and just being a cute little girl. Trevor is now pretty much calling me "mama" and saying "da" for Erich. Erich thought he said "doggie" the other day and he's close to "kitty." He also signs for nurse and points to the people he wants. Anna said while they were in the hot tub at Scott and Audrey's he would point to each person and get handed off in turn, sounds cute. Meanwhile his sister was busy warming her naked buns and enjoying her first skinny dipping experiences :) Trevor still won't sign for "more" and "all done." His "all done" is to throw and bang and his "more" is to scream real loud . . .does that count for real communication? For a boy it does :)

We had a great first day home today. I did most of the 7 loads of laundry yesterday so that was nice. It was beautiful this morning, I pushed the kids for a run and went to the park. I'm not a fan of running with my kids, or me running and them riding. It was hard pushing 60 pounds + up a big hill, I think I could've walked it faster . . .but of course that's not the point, I just did my running in place bit while heaving and trying to just wave at people instead of having to breath out "hi." I went for a run along the American River in Sacramento, up to Folsom lake and past Folsom prison and it was nice but I did notice that not many people waved or said hi as I passed, but here in Bozeman, it's every single person. . .hmm, just interesting I thought. It was great to be outside and enjoy the Bozeman scenery. It's raining now so we'll see how tomorrow goes . . .
