Delicious Autumn

Well, fall is here and it is De-li-cious! I love fall, the smell, the colors, the brisk cold, the football games . . .and the food. We had our first taste of pumpkin pie last night and it was awesome, indicating that we are indeed heading into the season of food lovers. Erich's friend Chuck brought us some Washington apples and I'm excited to make some apple crisp or pie, so tasty. Then there's Halloween, then Thanksgiving, then Christmas cookies, mmmm, I'm getting hungry :)

It has been snowing here all day, pretty wet snow but it's accumulating on the grass and deck. We have had a great day! Darby did not scream at all when I picked out her clothes and shoes today (an amazing feat), we went to playgroup and then made a trip to the mall without any mishaps. Darby rode the ice cream truck twice and I picked up the fabric for her costume that I am hoping to make by Halloween . . .hoping is the operative word :) Then we came home and did some puzzles, drew some pictures and made some yummy chocolate chip cookies. It just feels good to bake on days like today.

We have a busy week ahead as we are heading to Pullman on Friday for the WSU/Oregon game on Saturday. Darby is already talking about it and is so excited :) Trevor and Darby both have a little cold, just a little stuffy so we're dealing with raw noses and Kleenex messes. Darby is still as active as ever, jumping and playin around. She's got to burn off steam somehow. Trevor's napping right now and is being a champ about the whole stuffy nose thing. Hopefully everyone will be 100% by Friday. . .
