So I just posted some really cute pics of Darby and Trevor on our Flickr website and I thought I'd just jot down a couple of quick things about the kids, starting with Darby. I've said before that she loves Blue's Clues right? Well, Joe/Steve have a notebook that they write down "blue's clues" in on the show, so Darby is obsessed with having notebooks and flipping through them. Anytime she goes down for a nap or at bedtime she has to have at least one of her notebooks! Last night she tucked herself into our bed and was mid turn of one of the pages when she fell asleep, it was so cute . . .I would have taken a picture if it wouldn't have woken her up.
Anyways, we just got back from Lunch on the Lawn. It's fun for Darby and me to meet up with friends, have a picnic lunch and listen to fun live music. The sweetest thing happened but I first have to give some background. Darby is a terribly loving child . . .she will hug and kiss about anyone and everyone. Sometimes she chases kids around with her arms outstretched for a hug :) So she's had her share of kisses and hugs from boys and girls, nothing special right? Anyways, today her friend Connor gave her a kiss on the cheek and Darby got the cutest look on her face . . .she just put her hand up to her cheek and had a great big bashful smile like Connor just gave her a treasure. It's moments like those that I wish I could capture on film somehow. . .but you know without the annoying camera in the face thing. I'll just have to cherish the memory :)
