Coolin down

It is a chilly 74 degrees right now and I love it! I'm enjoying some alone time as the kids are both napping and Erich is off on a hike with the visiting Mike and Mary. Mary (my sister) and Mike (her boyfriend) are on their way to Colorado and we are having a great time with them here. Darby especially! I think that she has a little crush on Mike . . . Mary might have some competition :)

We went on a great hike yesterday up South Cottonwood Trail. Trevor, as always, slept comfortably with mom and Darby got to hike/ride in the backpack. She loves throwing rocks in the creek and walking up the hills but is kinda scared of downhill parts and was super pissed to be put in the backpack after about 3/4 of the way to the car. I bet that people 2 miles away could hear her screaming, she has got some lungs! Poor Erich with it right in his ear for 1/4 of a mile, yikes. Trevor is developing quite a personality and rolled for the very first time today from his tummy to his back. He used his big hunking legs to push him to his side and then over, so cute! He is smiley all the time and talks SO much. It's just so fun to see him develop more and more everyday. Darby still surprises us daily with her language and physical development. She can totally answer the phone now, she says "um, hello and um goodbye." Luckily the only people that she has actually answered the phone for have been friends and Erich that can hear me screaming in the background "I'm coming" whilst I chase Darby around for the phone.
The other thing that kills me is her dance skills! She can shake her booty like crazy, like with independent hip action! Oh, my little booty shaker! If I can get some on video I'll try to post that. Well, I think that's enough for now, I'd better go nap myself.
